NIBR endeavors to lead the way in conservation of biological resources
It has been four years since the National Institute of Biological Resourses(NIBR) was established in 2007. The institute has dedicated to conserve biological resources that are national assets and precious source materials for biotechnology industry, one of the most prominent high-tech industries of this century. NIBR has preserved biodiversity to secure national biological sovereignty and established a foundation for management of biological resources inhabiting the Korean peninsula through research and diplomatic activities. The institute continuously strives to protect and wisely use indigenous species.
NIBR also serves as an educational center for the general public to increase social awareness on the importance of biological resources through exciting exhibitions full of hands-on experiences.
NIBR spares no efforts to get closer to the public through a variety channels of communication including its blog and twitter.
