Mission

    Mission : To better preserve and wisely use biological resources by expanding our knowledge of indigenous species / Vision : To become a leading biological research institute contributing to green growth and biodiversity conservation

Functions

  • The major functions of NIBR are to ;
  • collect, preserve, and manage biological resource collections,
  • conduct surveys and research on biological resources,
  • provide support to the bio-industry, including source materials and/or information of wild species for basic and applied research,
  • develop a national biological resources database network and support policy development on biodiversity issues, and
  • present exhibitions and provide educational programs on biological resources.
