The Species Diversity Research Division investigates and discovers indigenous plants, animals, and microorganisms in Korea, establishes the Inventory of National Biological Resources, and secures, collects, and manages biological resources including specimens and genetic information. To preserve and manage biodiversity, we investigate the genetic diversity of native organisms and carry out research on species subject to legal control.
